After a 6 month absence, I am back updating Licking The Whisk! No excuses, but I have been planning a wedding, which left very little time for baking! Now that i’m married (yippee!) there is a rather large void where wedding planning should be… and i’m very pleased to announce that I will be filling said void with CAKES. And PASTRIES. And COOKIES. And all manner of other yummy deliciousness! 🙂
This past weekend I decided to try not 1, not 2 but 3 new recipes! Peach Cobbler, Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Baked Cheesecake (i’ll be uploading recipes/photos over the next couple of days). Also coming up will be a site revamp and new more general content/reviews. I’d like this to be as interactive as possible moving forward!
It’s good to be back!
I am now the proud owner of an apple green KITCHENAID! What a wonderful gift from my super-lovely fiance!! It’s certainly a gift he can enjoy too, seeing as he devours most of my baking (good and bad, bless him!) It’s this beauty here…
Amazing! And so this does mean that I will be posting more often in 2012! xx
This was a massive hit with my family this Christmas… so simple, and so delicious! It’s rich and tastes like something you’d pay for in a restaurant! (so modest, aren’t I?? Haha!)
You can find out how to make it on the Stylist website; it is a Nigella recipe (good old Nigella!! Never lets me down!) – http://www.stylist.co.uk/life/recipes/nutella-cheesecake
I toasted the nuts a bit longer in a dry frying pan before using them in the base or on top.
